Sipping on Sunshine and Love on a Plate. The Festive Feasting Continues...

Hope you managed to get a decent break this Summer.  We’ve had a fairly solid December and January, especially enjoying the company of our regulars on holidays and meeting their families and friends as they visit.  Charles Street has been busy with lots of tourists walking by so it’s always nice to stop and say hello as they check out our menu whilst listening to the Greek music beats.
And as the weather starts to turn (hasn’t it been windy!), holidays end and it’s back to school and getting into work mode.
But it’s not over yet. Plenty of Summer activities still to go.

This weekend is Festivale, a three day celebration offering the best food, wine, beer and entertainment. Although we don’t have a stall at Festivale, we will be open all weekend including the Sunday to soothe your post Festivale ‘headaches’ or fuel you before you hit the stalls.  And if you’re giving it a miss this year, then swing by for a Limoncello Sour (my new favourite Cocktail) and a Dips Plate.
Remember to book for our Pop Up Sunday this weekend.

I celebrated a birthday recently and wanted to indulge in a refreshing cocktail to mark the occasion. My brief to the team was simple.  Refreshing, no cream, not too sweet but I like lemon. Lots of Lemon.  So Mikala came up with a Limoncello Martini which was perfect, but then I tried the Limoncello Sour and that really hit the spot.  So all of January, I’ve been quaffing the Limoncello Sours like it’s my birthday every day.  You must pop in and try one! They are so so good.

Valentines Day falls on a Wednesday this year which means you can celebrate this special day at Elaia for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  Our regular A La Carte Menus will be available because we know how much you love your favourite Elaia dishes, but we will have some specials to celebrate the special day. Another popular way to spend it is getting a group of friends together and enjoying our Eat Like A Greek Feast. It’s the best way to sample all of our Greek dishes and make great memories.

A lovely regular takeaway customer messaged me the other day to say how much she enjoyed our House Pizza with her home made coleslaw. Yum! What a great combination. Would love to hear what home made creations you enjoy with our takeaway Elaia food.  Another customer ordered a takeaway Moussaka, Spanakopita and baked lemon potatoes to be served cold so she could heat on the Sunday and enjoy it for a family lunch.  What a great idea!  And yes we are happy for you to bring in your baking dishes and we can prepare Tiramisu or Galaktobaklava in them for you to enjoy for your special event.

Look forward to seeing you this weekend and stin igia mas!
